We would like to introduce you to the member associations of the IFMGA, all these associations have gone through an application and approval process within the IFMGA regulations. They generally represent the majority of official mountain guides in each country and aim to work for the common good.
In some countries (Nepal, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia) training takes place without skis, these are the IFMGA No Ski Associations, which do not train their members in ski mountaineering or other ski related activities. A No Ski association identifies itself as No Ski in all its communication measures. No Ski mountain guides have no rights vis-à-vis other IFMGA countries in the discipline of Ski. Every mountain guide who has not completed ski training must identify himself as an IFMGA mountain guide No Ski in all his activities.
If you want and/or need more information please contact your nearest association directly.
