We are happy to announce our Spring Technical Meeting for 2026 in Kaunertal on the 11th and 12th of May. The International technical meeting is organized under the auspices of the IFMGA, bringing together delegates from around the world to explore ski techniques, winter guiding and the future of professional mountaineering.
This meeting has 5 key objectives:
- Standardise ski technique nomenclature across international guide training programmes
- Review and align winter entry test requirements
- Share innovations in risk management and professional tools
- Advance gender equality and inclusion in the mountain guide profession
- Establish consensus on global standards for mountain guiding
